Edo State’s young talents are undeniably dominating the Nigerian entertainment industry, from music to movies, and Nollywood actress Efe Irele is one of the stars leading the charge.
Efeilomo Michelle Irele well known as Efe Irele, is a Nigerian actress, model and filmmaker, born on September 4, 1990, in Lagos Nigeria, but hail from Edo State. She had her primary and secondary school in lagos, and She holds a degree in Sociology from Bowen University and a master’s degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Chester, United Kingdom.
After receiving her master’s degree, she returned to Nigeria and worked as an HR manager for six months. Quitting her job, she started advertising and event planning, and also starred as a video vixen in Adekunle Gold’s Sade music video.

Despite her Academic path, her passion for acting remained unwavering. She took her first role in 2016 Iroko TV series “ASO EBI” which she described as a challenging but motivating experience.
Her breakthrough into starlight came in the 2017 nollywood movie “The Real Side Chics” where she played the role of keke along side top actors like desmond elliot and daniel Llyod

Since then, she has appeared in numerous nollywood movies, including Hey You, Two Weeks in Lagos, A ghetto love story, House of secrets, farmer’s Bride and many others. She has won multiple awards including best supporting actress at AMVCA 2023.
In order to support children with autism, Efe established the Efe Irele Autism Foundation in 2018. She was inspired to start the organisation by the fact that her only brother was Autistic.
Efe Irele is a prove that the future of Nollywood is in good hands. With her exceptional work ethic and undeniable talent, one thing is certain: this Edo State native is just getting started.
