Early Career and Life
Chukwuma Chimamanda Pearl is the official birth name of a fast rising benin star, Qing Madi. The benin star was born in July 1, 2006. Surprisingly, she’s been writing songs since she was 14 and apparently the songs that brought her to spotlight “see finish” & “vision” were all songs written when she was 14.
Her mother also played a huge part in making sure she became a music artist even before she(Madi) thought of being a music artist. So it’s safe to say her mum is her biggest fan. Her mother used to have a shop close to a school in benin, and she’d introduce every music person that comes there to her daughter, Madi.
Growing up, she was more an introvert, she also loves to read books, have her lone time. Her record of songs are a mix of personal experience, experience from her friends and of course fictions. She also loved and still loves to dance ballet, because according to her, “it’s not something everyone can do”.
QING according to her when being asked in an interview “is the feminine version of King”, i.e king with a Q, QING. While MADI is the shortened form of Amanda her real name.
Her career officially kick started when she released her first single which later became a sensation on tiktok in 2023 tiled See Finish.
Her unique blend of afrobeats, pop, RnB, soul along with her captivating vocals has earned her a huge fan base across Nigeria. Following the success of her hit single “see finish”, Madi released another fire single titled Ole with a feature from Bnxn which cemented her place in the Nigerian music industry.
Qing Madi is a fast rising star and a joy to watch out for, one of the few that came from Benin city and is ready to stand strong in the industry for a very long time, having seen how consistent and determined she is.
