
The Chief Executive Officer of Da Kulture Empire, Mr. Omatosanine Jolly Fregene, has said that he is proud to announce the official rebranding of his distinguished fashion label with the launch of a landmark event — Kulture Code, a high-profile fashion show set to redefine the luxury fashion narrative in Southern Nigeria.
Founded and headquartered in the heart of Benin City, he said Da Kulture Empire has grown into a renowned fashion house catering to a prestigious clientele that spans the political elite, business moguls, entertainment icons and fashion-forward individuals across Nigeria and the diaspora.
Fregene maintained that, the Da Kulture Empire, known for its seamless blend of luxury aesthetics with affordability, has continued to push boundaries in design, elegance, and cultural representation.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Da Kulture Empire added that Kulture Code will be held on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, at the prestigious Crown Heights Pavilion, County Home Road, Benin City.
He reiterated that the event promises to be the first and biggest luxury fashion show ever hosted in the southern region of Nigeria — a grand celebration of style, innovation, and African creativity.
According to him “This rebranding event will bring together fashion lovers, industry leaders, and media taste-makers.
“Top celebrities from Nigeria’s movie, music, and comedy industries are not only attending but will also grace the runway, showcasing exclusive Da Kulture Empire pieces in a dazzling fusion of tradition and modern elegance.
Speaking further on the upcoming show, Mr. Fregene shared, “Kulture Code is more than a fashion event; it’s a bold statement of who we are, what we stand for, and where we are headed. This is a movement to spotlight Southern Nigeria as a luxury fashion destination.
“The Kulture Code fashion show marks a new era for Da Kulture Empire and a major moment for the regional fashion scene”.
The CEO of Da Kulture Empire further revealed that the essence of the fashion show is to mark its 20th year anniversary of consistency, commitment, dedication to customers satisfaction in the fashion and luxury industry.

The general cultural practices and social codes of the Edo people (also known as Bini) include:
- Respect for Elders: There is a strong emphasis on community and a complex social hierarchy, with deep respect for elders and authority figures, including the Oba of Benin.
- Ancestral Veneration: The Edo people have a strong ancestral spiritual foundation, which includes honouring ancestors by offering a portion of food and drink before consumption.
- Traditional Arts: They are renowned for their expertise in bronze casting, woodcarving, and intricate beadwork (especially coral beads), which have deep cultural meaning.
- Attire: Traditional attire for women often involves a blouse, wrapper, and head tie, adorned with coral beads. Men’s attire can include an agbada made from materials like Ankara, voile, or lace, also accompanied by beads.
- Festivals: Important cultural festivals include the ‘Igue’ festival (King’s Festival).
- Cuisine: Common traditional foods include pounded yam, fufu, or eba, eaten with various soups like egusi, ogbono, black soup, or groundnut soup.
