On the 27th of November, 2024, Speed Darlington, also known in the streets of Social Media as Akpi was rearrested, with sources claiming that the act was orchestrated by popular singer, Burna Boy.

The news was confirmed by his lawyer, Sam Adeyanju via a post made on X on Wednesday morning.
The singer was arrested in Owerri, Imo state after he came to Nigeria for a show. Latest reports now suggest that he has since been moved to Abuja, highlighting the intensity of the case.
Remember that the Singer had earlier been arrested on the 4th of October, 2024, for his antics on social media against Burna Boy, accusing the singer of engaging in homosexual activities with Sean Combs, popularly known as P Diddy.
However, after pleas from his mother and various cries on social media, he was finally released on Bail.

After he came out, he released a single titled ‘Baby Oil,’ and in the single, he could be heard ridiculing and calling out Burna Boy with lyrics such as:
EFCC dey give bed, DSS dey give food,
I’m not gang affiliated, you the one that’s claiming them.
If I go missing, na you, if you go missing, no be me.
Clear conscience fears no accusation.
With this latest arrest, it remains to be seen how this saga would end.
On his end, Burna Boy has not addressed or responded to the claims publicly.
